South Florida · OL/DL Development · Ages 5 – HS
No kid dreams of playing the line — so when the coach moves him there, it can feel like a step back. It's not. The trenches decide games, and they're where most kids get zero real coaching. That's the gap Coach H fills — nothing but OL and DL, every rep.

What the people who pick your son actually say
“I can't recruit him, he's 6'2 275. We only offer guys 6'4 300+.”
— a college coach's cutoff, in his own words
“Simply being big and strong isn't enough. Does he have a recruiting video?”
— advice to a proud parent, recruiting forum
“It's all about getting off the ball, staying low, driving your feet.”
— a line coach, on what actually wins
Size gets your son noticed. Technique gets him picked. Technique is the only thing Coach H coaches.
The honest conversation
Size and athleticism will carry your son through youth ball. Maybe through middle school. But when the talent levels up — when every kid on the field is big and fast — technique is what separates who plays and who watches.
OL and DL is the most technique-intensive position group in football. Stance. Hand placement. Leverage. Footwork. These are skills — and skills are taught.
If your son has never had dedicated position coaching, he's operating at a fraction of what he's capable of. That's the real opportunity here.
He's been big and strong enough to get by without technique. But every level up, the competition catches up — and technique becomes the difference-maker.
College coaches watching film aren't looking for the biggest kid. They're looking for the kid who knows how to use his body — leverage, hand placement, footwork under pressure.
Session by session, drill by drill. A coach who specializes in nothing but the trenches — who knows exactly what needs to be taught and how to teach it.

The Coach
South Florida. Grew up here. Played here. Trained athletes here. OL/DL isn't something I coach on the side — it's all I do.
I built the Trench Dawg brand because I saw what was missing. Position coaches for skill positions are everywhere. OL/DL coaches who actually specialize? Almost impossible to find in South Florida. That gap is what I fill.
I work with athletes ages 5 through high school. Groups, one-on-one, team training. Throughout South Florida — wherever the work gets done. If your son is serious about making it, I'm serious about getting him there.
You don't get to the next level on size alone. I'm going to teach your son the fundamentals that actually determine who plays — and I'll stay on him until they stick.— Coach H
